Purbeck Repair Café is in Wareham this Saturday 14th May!

The Purbeck Repair Café is in Wareham this Saturday 14th May, from 10am to 2pm, in Wareham Town Hall.

Our focus this time is on simple sewing repairs such as visible mending, learning simple sewing techniques and repurposing old clothes to make something you’d like to wear again.

Just bring an item and your ideas and see what we can do together. Apologies in advance if we are busy, but we will try to help as much as we can. Hopefully you can then attempt your own repairs with confidence. 🙂

The Repair Café is run by volunteers and after if you get some help you are simply invited to make a voluntary donation on the day.

Come for the sewing and stay for the refreshments! We will be serving drinks like coffee and tea, savoury food and lots of cake.

We will also have the Sustainable Wareham team on hand so you can chat with them about our work on Renewable Energy, Rethinking Rubbish, Ecotourism and Enhancing Nature. Come along and see what you can learn and how you can help.
