On Thursday 21 May, you are invited to this special screening of The People’s Emergency Briefing – a 45 minute film that features leading UK scientists and experts exploring the latest evidence on climate change and nature loss, and how these issues are already affecting everyday life—from extreme weather and food security to health and the cost of living.
The evening will focus not just on the global picture, but on what can be done here in Wareham and the surrounding area. Local MP Vikki Slade will be attending and taking part in the discussion, alongside community representatives.
Local organisations—including Planet Purbeck, Dorset Climate Action Network, Fairtrade groups and Sustainable Wareham—will also be present with information stalls. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with existing projects, share ideas, and get involved in practical local action.
Whether you’re already involved in environmental work or simply curious to learn more, everyone is welcome to come along, watch the film, and be part of the conversation about Wareham’s future.
