Wareham Solar Streets Zoom meeting this Thursday evening

An online Zoom meeting for Wareham Solar Streets will take place this Thursday, 36th May at 7pm.

You may have received or picked up a leaflet for this local initiative, that seeks to give residents of Wareham and surrounding villages a competitively priced solar panel installation.

Thursdays Meeting is an opportunity to find out more about the projects aims, the companies involved and a detailed look at how the pricing works.

Visit the Wareham Solar Streets page to register for the Zoom call.

Solar Streets work with groups like Sustainable Wareham to promote solar power in the community and then the design and installation is carried out by IDDEA, an accredited national installer. The scheme has been running in Swanage for about a year, with many successful installations.

There is no commitment in exploring the options with IDDEA and of course it’s recommended that quotes are obtained from a number of installers, as for any work, however by being able to perform several installations in the same area, the quote from IDDEA is often very competitive.

For every successful installation £50 is also placed in a fund for the local group – in this case Sustainable Wareham – and it must be spent on improving local sustainability.

We hope to see you on Thursday evening – register here.
